Journeys

Journeys

On Saturday, November 22, Mundo Arte Gallery inaugurates Journeys, a group exhibition featuring artists Néstor Arenas, Brooke Frank, Facundo Fierro, and Raphaël del Rosario.

Through the language of printmaking, the exhibition traces the many paths of creative thought, exploring the processes that lead to the formation of an image and the materialization of an artistic imaginary.

Journeys invites viewers to reflect on the creative process as a complex territory where inspiration, intuition, and conceptual construction intertwine. At times, creation begins with an external stimulus—an image, a text, a memory, an emotion, or a fleeting idea—that becomes the starting point and is transformed into an entirely new visual proposition. At other moments, the impulse arises from a deeper source: forms or symbols the artist carries within, archetypes that surface from the unconscious and manifest as recurring structures within their visual language. In this exchange, the visible and the internal engage in dialogue, revealing a symbolic thread that connects the personal with the universal.

The resulting works transcend the purely formal and move into a symbolic and sensorial realm. These are polysemic proposals that appeal to the viewer’s subjectivity, inviting personal interpretation and inviting each person to navigate, through their own gaze, the imaginative landscapes the artists create. Within them, multiple layers of meaning and poetic resonance merge with the discipline of printmaking, generating an intimate space for contemplation and inner reflection.

Each piece is, in essence, the visible trace of a thought that has traveled through many stages—from the first spark of inspiration to the invention and realization of a visual form that reflects the artist’s creative universe. In this way, Journeys presents not only the final works, but also the intricate network of decisions, intuitions, and explorations that shape the inner path of making.

Ultimately, the exhibition unfolds as a space of dialogue among distinct aesthetics and individual processes, where imagination, technique, and the artist’s persistent desire to connect the viewer with their expansive creative world converge.
